GREG CLEVENGER
Also known as: Wascal, Bullwinkle
Favorite music:pre-disco
Favorite band: too many to count
Favorite new band: Prima Donna
Favorite new album: Jan and Dean Filet Of Soul Redux-The Rejected Master Recordings (funny stuff. still digging dead man's curve)
Band you most want to party with: Fluffy (already have), Iggy Pop (already have), Herman's Hermits (already have), Neil Young(what are you waiting for, Neil?)
Farthest you've traveled to see a performance: from New Orleans to New York to see Monty Python do 4 shows in one weekend. Kansas City to Montreal to see George Burns at 97years old. Kansas City to Lake Taho, Nevada to spend New Year's eve with Jan & Dean. Kansas City to Los Angeles for Iggy and the Stooges.
Biggest thrill: Getting Janis Joplin's autograph. Meeting Monty Python. Seeing Iggy Pop the first time in Houston. Being Iggy's driver in New Orleans during Mardi Gras (if it wasn't for me he would not have written "Pumping For Jill"). Meeting George Burns at 97 years old(way cool). Meeting Jay Ward, the creator of Rocky & Bullwinkle(way WAY cool). Working with Jan & Dean. Having Herman's Hermits come through Kansas City to visit ME without performing. Having Biff Rose stay with me for 6 months (Biff says it was 3) in New Orleans while he put out an album(I got to edit the back cover). Being road manager for 2 days in New Orleans for David Jones(Monkees). Having Harlow spend the night at my place. (Amanda, you left your sweater.) Cirque du Soliel:Delirium(best show/concert I have ever seen).
Super band: lead vocals(male)-Paul Rogers, (female)-?, lead guitar-Neil Young, bass-Jack Cassidy,
drums-Clem Burke, keyboards:Rick Wakeman (it would never work)
Favorite concert this year: Deep Purple/Alice Cooper/Edgar Winter
Most memorable celebrity encounter: Iggy Pop
Band you would most like to see: Ronnie Spector
My friends don't know: I'm still alive.
